About

Judy Parker graduated from Empire State University with a Bachelors in Business with a Concentration in Design. Launching Fox Den Design in 2003, she strategically located her decorating business in the Finger Lakes Area, specifically around the city of Auburn and hamlet of Skaneateles.

“There are so many beautiful and historic homes around Owasco and Skaneateles lakes,” she says, “and I felt there was a definite need for a decorator who had a feel for a less metropolitan location, yet an area that is relevant and emerging. There is such a blend of the old and new, I wanted to honor the heritage of these older homes while updating the functionality for today’s evolving technology, as well as helping blend the modern home with the traditions of an area full of history.”

Decorating has been Judy’s passion from a young age, when she constantly asked her mom if they could change the carpet and rearrange the furniture yet again. “I remember being very young, maybe 6 or 7 years old, and saying to my mom, ‘Can we change these curtains? They are really bad!’ She was quite gracious about my obvious aversion to her design choices and encouraged me to design my own room!”

When she’s not working on her next great design, she can often be found playing trivia at the local pub, singing at the local dirt racetrack, or boating on Owasco lake with her family.
